At Panchami, our mission extends beyond delivering renewable energy—it’s about safeguarding livelihoods and enabling communities to thrive. One such impactful journey has been our work with rural Animal Husbandry Veterinary Hospitals across Karnataka.
The Challenge
In many rural veterinary hospitals, life-saving vaccines and medicines were stored in walk-in coolers that frequently failed during power cuts. Each outage meant the risk of losing critical doses, leaving farmers anxious and livestock vulnerable. With animals forming the backbone of rural economies, unreliable power posed a serious threat to both health and livelihood.
The Solution
Panchami stepped in with a sustainable, off-grid energy model designed for resilience and reliability. Through the deployment of Wind-Solar Hybrid Systems ranging from 1kW to 5kW, we ensured uninterrupted power supply for vaccine coolers and hospital operations.
Key Steps Included:
- Scalable Deployment: Installing 40+ hybrid systems across Karnataka, with 300+ more in the pipeline.
- Technical Precision: Tailoring system sizes to suit the unique needs of each hospital.
- Community Collaboration: Working with veterinarians and local stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption.
Results and Impact
The benefits have been transformative:
- Vaccine Security: Life-saving doses are now stored safely, without risk from outages.
- Farmer Confidence: Livestock owners have peace of mind, knowing their animals are protected.
- Healthcare Efficiency: Veterinarians can focus on treatment and care rather than crisis management.
- Sustainable Growth: By replacing unreliable power with renewable energy, hospitals reduce carbon footprints while strengthening community resilience.
Building a Model for the Future
This initiative proves that renewable energy is not just about powering buildings—it’s about protecting lives and livelihoods. Panchami’s Animal Husbandry project highlights how clean energy can support healthcare, strengthen rural economies, and build trust in essential services.
